The Coalition for New South Carolinians collaborates with other state nonprofit organizations to monitor state legislation affecting immigrants and other new South Carolinians. Emerging Young Leaders
Launched in 2008, Emerging Young Leaders trains 6 to 8 college-age individuals in leadership skills and involves them in Coalition programs in the effort to help them gain experience in advocacy and social justice issues.
Storytellers Initiative
This project is an ongoing public education campaign that tells the stories--through film documentaries and post-film discussion--of the struggles that immigrants, refugees and others new to South Carolina, face in their effort to seek safe and secure lives in the United States.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement Raids Plant in Asheville, NC

On August 12, 2008, 57 workers were arrested by agents of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Mills Manufacturing Corporation in Asheville, NC on charges related to immigration violations.
